27 FREE Books for Teaching and Learning English! (Word Versions)

Download our 27 FREE BOOKS for teaching English as MS Word (.docx) documents

100% customisable    /    100% printable    /    100% shareable    /    100% FREE for you!

By public demand, here are all our free books for teaching and learning English as MS Word documents. Now it is easier than ever to adapt and rebrand them for your own use. See this post for ideas how to use them.

All these books are in the public domain, so you are free to share them as widely as possible. You can even produce your own versions and sell them in bookstores or online for profit, with no royalties or fees to pay to us. You don’t need to retain publisher/author information and your version will not be Public Domain (unless you choose this), since it will be a new work. If you don’t believe this offer is genuine, please write to me (the author, Matt Purland) and I will send you a personal reply to say that you may use this work. See this post for examples of people who have already rebranded/adapted some of the books.

Caveats:

  • These Word files have been automatically generated by exporting from Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. All the files have been checked and tidied up where necessary. I believe these versions are almost 100% faithful to the original PDF files, but you may notice some changes – particularly if you don’t have the fonts used installed on your computer. Most of the time I have used Arial and other common fonts, but sometimes you may have to locate and download a font, if you want the layout to look the same. On other occasions there may be miniscule variations in such elements as headers and footers, page order, or page numbers. In any case, the point of these Word versions is that they are 100% editable and are not intended to be final versions, but rather the basis of YOUR final version. You can compare the Word versions with the original PDF versions here.
  • The books are written using British English, so some words will be marked as incorrectly spelt in the Word versions if you are using a different English, e.g., “colour” is incorrect in US English, as Word prefers “color”.
  • As usual, the files are presented “as is”. See our disclaimer for more details. In short, if they are useful to you, please feel free to use them. If not, then you may of course  ignore this offer.

If you have any comments or questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch via the website or on Facebook and Twitter.
