Full Transcript #6 – Talk About Summer:

Oh, hello there! Yes. Well, you’ve just caught me, er, relaxing by the pool, erm, sipping, er, a smoothie, let’s say. And, er… Of course, I’m not. I’m not, I’m at work. But it’s Brian Mattison here, and this time we’re going to talk about summer. So, click on one of the questions below, and, er, listen to the question, and answer the question in your own good time. Ready? Let’s start.

  5. Sounds idyllic! Um, where are you going on holiday this summer?
  6. Are you an “outdoorsy” kind of person? Do you like to camp? Could you survive ‘in the wild’?

  8. Have you ever made friends or fallen in love on holiday? What happened? Did you keep in touch?

  11. If you had the choice to go anywhere in the world, where would you like to spend this summer?
  12. OK. Now, what is your favourite summer song? Can you sing it for me, please?

Well, that’s all for this very special summer-themed speaking lesson. I’ve been Brian Mattison. I hope you’ve found it rather useful.

No Wally this time, sadly, since he’s on a day trip, er, to the, Jorvik Centre. I’m sure I will hear all about it when he eventually returns.

So, thank you very much for listening. And please be sure to check out, as some people say, my other speaking lessons online. Have a wonderful summer – and see you next time! Bye.
